"I....could do a lot of things if I had money."--Homer Simpson

[*Note: This is in aboslutely no order what-so-ever. Deal.]

Well. What good can be said about today? I didn't get to sleep in my bed (because of the aforementioned lump of clothing), and I had to get up at 10:15am. And now for my horrid thing. Last night, my computer went absolutely fucking INSANE, and Windows pretty much died. After I'd just installed Windows98 on the 27th of June (well, we bought the upgrade for $80, cause lightning hit my modem & fried the drivers to 95. Which had worked fine for years.). Which was probably the problem. So. The computer gets [*extremely*] mad, and as I write this at 8pm, I'm in "Safe Mode" which is a HUGE pain, because I have no modem drivers in safe mode. And my html notepad will not work in safe mode. But at least it'll start 98 without all the million general protection faults. I convinced my Mom that what I needed is, at the very least, a Zip Disk to back up everything I've got (which I hope it'll let me do...God knows if it'll let me install this thing.), and this won't become something like Fester's TGWAOEJ2000. God forbid I lose all my sounds & such. Actually, this would've been a really bad thing to lose all my stuff, cause I'd just redone almost EVERYTHING, and I would've been inconsolably pissed. So, we go to Best Buy at about 4pm, and look at zip disks. We (ahem. *I*) decided that the 650mb CD burner is the way to go, and it's now sitting on my floor. Since I can never remember what I have, I forget I don't have a USB port, so tomorrow morning I have to go get a USB port card after class. So I have a CD Burner now. And I also have Linux Mandrake 7.1, which was free if you buy the burner. Why, I do not know. But there it is. It's sitting on top of the burner now. So, I dunno. What the hell is to become of me? I'll probably have put this on a disk and run to the computer lab to upload it tomorrow. Eh, maybe not. Anyway. That was the major thing that happened today, now onto the other things I did. At church our Pastor's gone for the summer, so for this month we're trying group-study things. Today was my Mom's turn. She did a g ood job, I thought. Afterwards, we went to Wal-Mart to get [3.25" 1.4mb] disks so I could at least put my documents, html files, and system sounds & such on disks if I had to re-partiton my hard drive (It doesn't recognize drive C as there at start-up anymore. It has magically un-partitoned itself from the outside, but inside it still recognizes the partitions. It also uninstalled my CD-Rom, although I can use it within windows.) and have it delete everything that was there. I got to go to StarBucks today & get one of my Mocha Valencias. Mmm. And I bought the syrup so I can now make them here at home. I just have to figure out how much is a shot of syrup. It was actually really cheap to get a bottle of syrup...2 bucks more and I could've had 2 whole drinks! Heh. Damn, I'm an expenisve thing. After we went to Best Buy, we went to this Art store and got rubber cement putty to put wallpaper up in the church at some point later in time. All in all, today I probably put about $400 on my credit card. And what a day it was. I'm tired, my shoulders are *killing* me, my hair is greasy-ish (Michele, the shampoo thing did not work for me), I'm not in a good mood, and I'm sleepy. I said that, didn't I. You shut up. Aww....how can I stay mad at you? G'night!
