Timeline
You will have two weeks to work on your project after we begin our discussion of Conquistadors.
The first week (October 17-21) will be dedicated to research.
The second week (October 25-28) will be dedicated to creating your project.
You will present your project on Monday, October 31.
This project will close on Tuesday, November 1. You will not be able to get back in after that time. Do not be late!
Overview
In this project, you will be completing research on one of three conquistadors that came to Florida. Your final project will contain:
- How the conquistador treated the Native Floridian Indians
- Where in Florida they landed and explored
- What they found here
- Where they came from
- Why they came to Florida
- What happened to them (did they leave, die, get rich, etc)
You will be working with a partner to find out this information, and conducting research on the computer and through the classroom and school library.
Your group MUST connect it to how they treated the Native Indians! You must talk about how they treated each other!
